The Piano

So, we are going to start the boys in piano lessons. My mother in law teaches Suzuki Piano and we have thought about for some time that we would like to start both the boys when she got home from her mission. We decided that now would be a great time to do so. School will be out, and then next year we can just work it into Jonah's homeschooling. I am so excited about it! We are not sure how it will work, if he will be able to sit for a very long time to play or practice, but we feel that it will benefit him and Simon greatly. The great thing about it is that it will be grandma teaching them and she is SO good with kids and keeping their attention. She just has this special way with kids. She also will be able to tell when Jonah has had enough and move onto something else because she knows him well and can be patient with him.
I have been playing a lot recently as well. I haven't played in quite a while, I'm not really sure why, but I forgot how much I enjoy it. It is amazing to me how quickly it comes back to you. I have been practicing everyday for at least an hour and I feel like I am getting caught up where I was before when I stopped taking lessons a few years ago. Well I guess it was about 6 years ago. That is weird, I had no idea it had been that long. Now I am even more impressed! Anyway, I think that I might start taking lessons again once I get refreshed on the material. If I am going to be up there for the boys I might as well learn more myself. And it will be a great example to the boys as well.
